LSAT TRAINING

LSAT trainings are conducted in a comfortable learning environment.  Refreshments and snacks are provided.  Students are encouraged to dress casually and comfortably.  All class materials are provided. The only items students need to bring are something to write with and a small, cheap, calculator (+, -, ÷. and x)

Our training incorporates the use of multimedia presentations, full-color handouts, a 100 page workbook/manual and effective, engaging lecture.  Classes are highly interactive and there is significant hands-on skills application.

To achieve our goals and help our students achieve theirs, we provide the following training offerings:

LSAT BASIC

The LSAT Basic course is 24 hours of classroom teaching, demonstration and hands-on practice in all aspects of statement analysis. Students are provided a manual/workbook that provides an in-depth view of all LSAT concepts practice statements, templates and cheat sheets.   • Understand concepts of truthfulness and deception.  How to maximize efficiency and effectiveness when interviewing; The thought processes of deceptive people.
  • Understand what valid statements are and how to collect them.  What is and how to obtain statements that are not affected by outside influences and are in the subject’s own words
  •  Understand what are and be able to identify “Linguistic Signals”. The essence of statement analysis and why they indicate deception, truthfulness, and tell us far more than is written
  • Follow the detailed process of examining the components of statements to gain the most information possible to help you gain confessions
  • Develop a basic ability to interpret the results of an analysis. Integrating the information given by linguistic signals to complete a complete, vivid image of the reality behind the story.
  • Understand and utilize the “Deception Meter” as a lie detector, the indicators of deception that take only minutes to identify
  • Maximizing potential for obtaining information.  Establish the expectation with the target of an interview that they will tell you information
  • Develop alternative an interview strategy. Develop Interview strategies that will allow the interviewer to take full advantage of the information learned in the statement analysis, compelling suspects to confess
  • Practical application of skills and knowledge by completing four practice statements.  Analysis of real-case statements to practice applying the newly learned discipline
  • Acquire understanding of and ability to compile the IQ questionnaire, the written investigative tool that will allow investigators to interview unlimited number of suspects in a matter of minutes and reduce the suspect pool by 35-95%.

LSAT ADVANCED (LSAT basic attendance prerequisite)

LSAT Advanced is 16 hours of advanced application and practice in skills acquired in the basic class including the use of a personal computer for analysis, addressing complex and challenging statements, and applying LSAT on interview transcripts. Students are provided a manual/workbook that provides an in-depth view of LSAT Advanced topics.

 The following are the behavioral objectives for LSAT Advanced:

  • Format and utilize their personal computer for producing professional, submittal-quality analyses and reports.
  • Transcribe audio recordings of interviews into useable statements, allowing the practical and efficient application of LSAT.
  • Convert written transcripts of interviews into useable statements, allowing the practical and efficient application of LSAT.
  • Successfully examine, analyze and interpret complex and challenging statements.
  • Identify less conspicuous, secondary linguistic signals.  Develop clearer insight into how linguistic signals exist, interact and relate to each other in revealing a more accurate and complete image of the reality behind the statement story.
  • Identify specific linguistic signals that allow the interviewer to attack those particular places in the subject’s story, leading to the revealing of hidden information and confessions.
  • Write a non-technical analysis report that can be by an investigator with no LSAT training, for use in follow-up investigations.
  • Strategize an interrogation utilizing the results of the LSAT analysis.

 

LSAT INTRODUCTORY

LSAT Introductory is an 8 hour class that provides a comprehensive overview of the fundamentals of statement analysis and the recognition of linguistic signals with limited hands-on practice.  Students are provided a manual/workbook that provides an in-depth view of LSAT. The following are the behavioral objectives for LSAT Intro:

  • Understand concepts of truthfulness and deception.  How to maximize efficiency and effectiveness when interviewing; The thought processes of deceptive people.
  • Understand what valid statements are and how to collect them.  What is and how to obtain statements that are not affected by outside influences and are in the subject’s own words
  •  Understand the concept of “Linguistic Signals”. The essence of statement analysis and why they indicate deception, truthfulness, and tell us far more than is written
  • Follow an elementary process of examining the components of statements to gain maximum information
  • Understand and utilize the “Deception Meter” as a lie detector, the indicators of deception that take only minutes to identify

 

LSAT ARSON

LSAT Arson is identical to LSAT Basic but emphasizes the analysis of arson statements.  Students receive a higher concentration of instruction on dealing with arson suspects rather than physical evidence which is sometimes overlooked or minimized by fire investigators.  This class is very helpful for public agency, private investigators and insurance investigators.
